How to Get Here:

Urraca is located on the north eastern (Caribbean) side of Panama, near the border of Costa Rica. The region is called Bocas Del Toro, which is made up of a series of islands. We are located 30 minutes by boat from Bocas del Toro, between Cayo de Agua and Isla Popa, near Zapatillas Island (See Map below).

* NOTE: the first option is the best option, but we will cover other ways to get here just in case*

Getting from Panama City  > Isla Colon (Bocas del Toro) BY PLANE  *best option*

Air Panama offers daily flights from the “Marcos A. Gelabert” International Airport located in Albrook (Panama City) to Isla Colon in Bocas del Toro. Air Panama is the only airline that flights to Bocas del Toro. Flights last about 50 minutes and round trip fare is generally around $200. You can find a water taxi to take you from Isla Colon to our island, or we can arrange it for you with our trusted captain, who will be waiting for your arrival at Isla Colon.

Getting from Panama City  > David > Urraca Private Island BY PLANE

Copa Airlines offers daily flights to the city of David, this is a good alternative if you’d like to spend a few days in Boquete before heading our way. From David you will need to take a taxi (we can get you in touch with the taxi we use) to the port of Chiriqui Grande (1.5 hrs.) and our trusted captain will be waiting to bring you to the island. We are at the same distance from Chiriqui Grande and from Isla Colon, so the ride will cost and last the same.

Getting from Panama City > Almirante > Isla Colon (Bocas del Toro) BY CAR OR BUS

By private car: Take the Pan-American highway all the way to Almirante (10 to 11 hours). You can leave your car safely parked in the parking “Leiza” ($3 per day). Then take a water taxi from Almirante to Isla Colon (no reservations needed). The ride from Almirante to Isla Colon lasts around 25 mins. and costs $5 per person.
By bus: A daily service of night buses is available from the Albrook Bus Terminal in Panama City to the port of Almirante (costs $25 – lasts anywhere between 10 to 12 hours) and from the city of David to Almirante (costs $8 – lasts 4 hours).
By taxi: A taxi ride from Boquete or David is another good alternative to get to Almirante ($100). Duration 4 hours
