How to get to the Island

BY PLANE: Panama City to Bocas del Toro (Isla Colon)

Air Panama and Bocas Air offers daily flights from the “Marcos A. Gelabert” International Airport located in Albrook (Panama City) to Isla Colon in Bocas del Toro. Flights last about 50 minutes and the round trip fare is generally around $175$. This is the easiest way to get to Bocas del Toro. When planning your schedule, please keep in mind that your departure and arrival in Panama City would be from the Marcos A. Gelabert International Airport, which is approximately 40 mins. ride away from Tocumen Airport.

From Isla Colon to Urraca Private Island:

 The cost of transportation is not included and will vary depending on how many people are on the boat when you arrive & depart.

BY PLANE: Panama City to David

Copa Airlines offers daily flights to the city of David, this is a good alternative if you’d like to spend a few days in Boquete before heading our way. From David or Boquete you will need to take a taxi (we can help you schedule your transportation with the taxi driver we use) to the marina of Chiriqui Grande (2.5 hrs. away from David & from Boquete) and our trusted captain will be waiting for you there to bring you to Urraca.

From the marina of Chiriqui Grande to Urraca:

The cost of transportation is not included and will vary depending on how many people are on the boat when you arrive/depart. Please contact us in advance to schedule your transportation if you’re arriving from the marina of Chiriquí Grande.

BY CAR: Panama City > Almirante > Isla Colon (Bocas Town)

By private car: From Panama City, take the Pan-American highway all the way to Almirante (10 to 11 hours). You can leave your car safely parked in the parking lot “Leiza”. Then take a water taxi from Almirante to Isla Colon (no reservations needed). The ride from Almirante to Isla Colon lasts around 25 mins., and costs $5 per person. By bus: A daily service of night buses is available from the Albrook Bus Terminal in Panama City to the port of Almirante (takes anywhere between 10 to 12 hours) and from the city of David to Almirante (lasts 4 hours).

Urraca is located on the north eastern (Caribbean) side of Panama, in the province of Bocas Del Toro. We are located 30 minutes by boat from Isla Colon (main island of the archipelago), right in front of Zapatilla Cays.
