Urraca is located on the north eastern (Caribbean) side of Panama, near the border of Costa Rica. The region is called Bocas Del Toro, which is made up of a series of islands. We are more specifically near Isla Popa (See Map below).
From the United States
Many major US cities have airlines offering flights into Panama. One of the most common carriers is Copa Airlines.
If you fly into Panama City, you will probably fly into Toucamen Airport. This is the big, international airport. A smaller airport is located across town, called Albrook. Depending on traffic, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours to get across town from Toucamen to Albrook. Air Panama offers daily flights from the Albrook airport into Bocas del Toro. From Bocas del Toro Airport – From the airport, you can catch a taxi for a couple of dollars to take you to the Pirate Restaurant, where our Captain will meet you and transport you to Urrraca. The boat ride should take approximately 35 minutes, depending on the condition of the seas.
If you fly into David Airport, you will need to rent a car or we can arrange a driver to take you to Chiriqui Grande. The scenic drive across the country is approximately 2.5 hours and you will be delighted by the beautiful views as you go over the mountains. Our Captain will pick you up in Chiriqui Grande and tansport you to Urraca. The boat ride is approximately 40 minutes depending on the condition of the seas.
